Nonlinear dynamics of system with combined rolling–sliding contact and clearance

چکیده

Rolling–sliding contacts are found in a variety of systems, such as gears, drum brakes, and tire pavements. Such systems inherently have multiple nonlinearities kinematic, contact, friction nonlinearities. Further, most these clearance between components which causes excessive vibration noise. The combination with other makes the system dynamically interesting. It is important to understand dynamic behavior under various operating conditions. Hence, this article focuses on theoretically investigating transient steady-state responses cam–follower rolling–sliding contact an exemplary case. A mechanics-based model for same has been developed purpose. examined based energy time-varying frequency contents. domain attractors, response plots, phase portraits deployed analyze effect initial conditions excitation speed behavior, quantitatively qualitatively. solutions were classified into branches periodicity portraits. In addition, parametric analyses effects loading, damping, conducted. Finally, start-up shut-down characteristics constant rate change frequency.
